Our Story | Rhythm of Life NGO
In 2011, three passionate individuals in their early 20s — Shrey, Lalit, and Devika — came together with a simple dream: to create real change at the grassroots level. What began as teaching just 20 children in a Delhi slum, quickly turned into a movement that has transformed hundreds of lives through creativity and compassion.

Shrey and Lalit, both musicians in a band, began by using the universal language of music to connect with children. Devika brought in the element of education, and together, they developed a unique Activity-Based Curriculum (ABC) — a holistic learning model built around theatre, dance, street plays, storytelling, art, games, and observation-based activities. They believed that education should never be a burden, especially for children with limited means. Instead, learning should be joyful, creative, and something every child looks forward to.

Today, 14 years later, Rhythm of Life proudly operates in 4 learning centers across Delhi, reaching over 1,000 children from underserved communities — including those in Dhaula Kuan and nearby areas, aged between 2 and 21 years. Many of these children come from families that lack resources, guidance, or opportunities for serious learning — and that’s exactly where Rhythm of Life steps in.
We don’t just teach — we empower.
We don’t just educate — we inspire.

With a strong network of 500+ dedicated volunteers and mentors, we provide early childhood learning, after-school support, and life-skills education through the arts. Our programs go beyond the classroom, using creative expression as a tool for transformation.
Whether it's a child gaining confidence through street theatre, or a teen finding their rhythm through music and dance, every session is a step toward building confident, independent individuals ready to take on the world.
